The Old Cemetery, Hartlepool.

The Old Cemetery can be found along , surprise, surprise, Old Cemetery Road, which is on the way to Hartlepool Headland. If you turn left at Throston Engine House, then take another sharp left, that is Old Cemetery Road. The cemetery is now mainly disused, there is the very occasional burial there, but it is a magnet for rare birds, to such an extent, that it is to become a designated nature reserve. It lies just above and behind the beach, and migrants such as warblers can be found. Redstart are often found here, also.
