11th - LITTLE AUK. Lots north past Hartlepool Headland, viewed from Spion Kop. We were there for 20 minutes and saw 40 birds! George, Chris and Philip Smith.
12th - LONG TAILED DUCK. 1 north past Hartlepool Headland. Kevin Spindloe.
12th - LITTLE AUK. 100 plus north past Hartlepool Headland, Also GREAT NORTHERN DIVER, south, 10 RED THROATED DIVERS north, 6 RED BREASTED MERGANSERS north in one hour at lunchtime today. Kevin Spindloe.
12th - MEDITERRANEAN GULL. One on sea off Hartlepool Headland, plus 2 COMMON SCOTERS and 20 GREAT CRESTED GREBES on the sea. Kevin Spindloe.
15th - GREENSHANK. 1 on River Tees at Newport Bridge//Entrance to Billingham Beck from the Middlesbrough side bank. Bernie and Moira Hodgson.
15th - RED THROATED DIVER. 5 or 6 on River Tees at Newport Bridge//Entrance to Billingham Beck from the Middlesbrough side bank Also present: REDSHANK, DUNLIN, GREY HERON, 1 GREENSHANK and LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS. Bernie and Moira Hodgson.
25th - PEREGRINE FALCON. One bird using the Power Station as a perch. 11:15. George and Chris Smith.
