The Long Drag

The Long Drag is, as the name suggests a long walk, from near Greatham Creek southwards (see map above). It takes you near to the Brinefields and past some old pill-boxes left over from the war. There are water bodies along the way, and many of the birds found at Saltholme (click here), can also be found here. Marsh and Hen Harriers an be found here, along with Bearded Tits. Reed Warblers breed here, and Cuckoo are present.
